New Look in my Bathroom....

Last month I painted my bathroom a luscious bright coral. It made the room absolutely glow! So much so that I couldn't see to put on make-up with the normal ceiling light. I tried adding florescent lights on either side of the mirror, and that helped. But every time I went into that room my beautiful coral walls assaulted my senses and disturbed my peace. So, obviously, something had to be done.

Well, today I finally settled on a new color. Now my bathroom is a nice soothing blue. Yep, I toned it down and rediscovered the simplicity that makes my life peaceful and quiet. I think the blue is going to be very pretty with the coral accents that I already have in there. No more eerie glow coming from that part of the house. No more extra lights needed. Yes, I think I'm going to like it.

So, which do you like best?

  1. The coral is a nice shade but I can understand how it would make for poor atmosphere on an everyday basis...especially in a room like this. Consider using the coral in your dining room. They say that shades of red encourage diners to eat, linger and enjoy all the more! Our bath is a soft blue like your second color and it is soothing and easy on the senses.

  2. I agree that the soft blue would be easier to 'live with' in the bath, it's usually such a small room that the coral would take over. I made a living room mistake of mustard yellow! It was not a comfortable space until I changed it to a muted green!

  3. The coral is pretty, but the blue is more calming. :-)

  4. I agree - the coral looks pretty, but would get on my nerves over time I think. The choice in blue color is so serene and calming - spa like!

  5. The coral is pretty, but as a cluster headaches sufferer and all around super sensitive being-I'm sure it would grate on me eventually. Blues and soft greens are more in line with nature and keeps things (emotions) fairly neutral. Good decision on the makeover.
