Crochet for Grown-up Children!

    There's a little remnant of childhood  in every adult I know.  That longing for something to 'play' with,  even if only in our minds, never totally leaves.  So I'm never surprised when a grown-up requests a custom crochet toy or whimsical item.

I made this slinky dog for a very special family member that loves doxies and dogs in general.   He's the second slinky dog I have made and, yes, the other one was for an adult too!  

May we never grow up so much that we cannot enjoy the fun things in life!

Don't you just love those baby pictures with those cute little photo prop outfits?

Here are several that I was asked to make recently.  Each one has a special significance for the family that is receiving them.  My favorite is the little fireman set.

Crochet for Babies

We're expecting a new baby in our family and the theme is Elephants!  I hope this baby will love elephants as much as his parents do, because it appears he will be surrounded by them.

(It's a jungle out there!

He is going to look adorable in this little photo prop elephant diaper cover and hat!

While this is not the lamp I made for his nursery, it is very similar.    His is made a bit larger than this one.  But I love the smallness of this lamp and the fact that it can be used as a nightlight.  This one was made for another little guys room.
